Micro-thoughts

Hello everyone. Tabula Rasa, (in a bad way).

Well, I've been having techincal difficulties which have meant I've been unable to see the latest two Alias episodes until today, but I've just spent an hour writing about them only to find that since my computer clock giving the wrong date, the update journal page would not accept my post, and when I pressed the back button, gave me a blank screen rather than my rather modest thoughts on some rather modest television. So I might try to post again after tonight's episode, but for the moment I'm just mildly irritated.

For now:

4.16- 'Another Mister Sloane'

Sir Ron Rifkin. Lord Joel Grey. Michael Giacchino CBE. How much of Luke McMullen's debut was rewritten? Complex sweeps in the directing. "Burden of proof" is marvellously dismissive of Vaughn. Syd encouraging Sloane to reinvest in Rambaldi a standout. Weiss, 1200-noon, excellent. Sloane, colleague in Sicily, (Don Michael, no?) final scene exceptional, would pay gold to see him play Lear.

4.17- 'A Clean Conscience'.

Orci, can do better. Utilitarianism fun, but could have been more interesting if no wimp out on Dixon's killing of his colleague. Elena reveal too obvious cos Sophia too good an actor. Vaughn, just go jump off a high building. And hurt yourself this time.

Who said I couldn't be pithy? ;-)
